Mein Urgroßonkel Benedikt Schinle (1859-1927)
war Kunstmaler in Meran und hatte dort auch eine über die Region hinaus bekannte Malschule. Bevor er mit dieser Malschule begann, so wurde mir von meiner Tante berichtet, lernte er auf seinen zahlreichen Reisen durch ganz Europa verschiedene Maltechniken. In dieser Zeit waren vor allem die Techniken, wie sie in Holland und Flandern üblich waren, sehr „en vogue“. Er selber malte oft in diesem Stil. Speziell die Bilder, die man von ihm in Meran noch finden kann, sind fast alle im „flämischen Stil“ gehalten.
Meine Eltern schenkten mir ein von Urgroßonkel Benedikt in Öl gemaltes Bild. Es zeigt eine wunderschöne filigran gemalte aufgeblühte Rose, drei Rosenknospen und zwei Nelken in zartem Weiß. Noch viel feiner und kaum sichtbar sind die grünen Blätter auf ganz schwarzem Untergrund.
Mich faszinierte dieses zarte Bild so sehr, daß ich an einem November-Abend 2018 ganz spontan entschied, nun endlich mal nach Meran zu fahren und all seine Bilder in der ältesten Kirche der Stadt, „Chiesa Santo Spirito“, anzuschauen. Ich packte meine Tasche und fuhr am nächsten Morgen los.
Ich war tief beeindruckt und gerade zu ergriffen, als ich am Sonntag Morgen dort die Messe besuchte. Sie war in Italienisch gehalten und es sang ein italienischer Jugend-Chor. Die Energie und die Stimmung waren so besonders und berührend. Es war so, als würde sich mein Urgroßonkel sehr freuen über meinen Besuch… Ich konnte seine Passion für das Malen und seine tiefe Gläubigkeit geradezu fühlen! Dies strahlten seine Bilder einfach aus. Er lebte 100 Jahre vor mir, aber ich empfand es so, als würde er neben mir stehen – mit Worten nicht zu beschreiben. Ich fühlte, daß er mich ermutigte weiter zu malen…. daß ich weiter meine fröhlichen, hellen und bunten Blüten malen soll… Ich spürte zutiefst seine Freude an meinen Blüten mit dem „Aloha Flow“.
Kurz nach dieser Reise transferierte ich genau diese Rosen und diese Nelken von seinem Bild mit Foto-Potch Technik auf eine neue Leinwand mit einem sehr fröhlichen, femininen rosa Untergrund, den ich auf meine Art malte und gestaltete. Ich nannte dieses Bild „Benedictus sunt: Benedikt und Beate“. Ich sehe diese Kreation als Hommage an ihn. Ich bin sicher, ihn freut’s! Vielleicht zaubert mein neues rosa Bild auch ihm ein Lächeln ins Gesicht? Aloha Mahalo in den Himmel, Deine Leilani Euphrosyne.

My great-granduncle Benedikt Schinle (1859-1927)
was a painter in Merano and had a painting school there that was known beyond the region. Before he started this painting school, I was told by my aunt, he learned various painting techniques on his numerous journeys throughout Europe. During this time, especially the techniques that were common in Holland and Flanders were very „en vogue“. He himself often painted in this style. Especially the paintings that you can still find of him in Merano are almost all in the „Flemish style“.
My parents gave me a picture painted in oil by great-uncle Benedikt. It shows a beautiful filigree painted blooming rose, three rosebuds and two carnations in soft white. The green leaves on a completely black background are even more delicate and hardly visible.
I was so fascinated by this delicate painting that one November evening in 2018 I spontaneously decided to finally go to Merano and see all his paintings in the oldest church of the city, „Chiesa Santo Spirito“. I packed my bag and left the next morning.
I was deeply impressed and just too moved when I went to Mass there on Sunday morning. It was in Italian and there was an Italian youth choir singing. The energy and the mood were so special and touching. It was as if my great-great-uncle was very happy about my visit… I could almost feel his passion for painting and his deep faith! His paintings simply radiated this. He lived 100 years before me, but I felt as if he was standing next to me – impossible to describe in words. I felt that he encouraged me to keep on painting… that I should keep on painting my happy, bright and colourful flowers… I deeply felt his joy in my flowers with the „Aloha Flow“.
Shortly after this trip I transferred exactly these roses and carnations from his painting with photo-potch technique to a new canvas with a very happy, feminine pink background, which I painted and designed in my own way. I called this painting „Benedictus sunt: Benedikt and Beate“. I see this creation as a tribute to him. I’m sure he’ll be pleased! Maybe my new pink painting will also put a smile on his face? Il mio prozio Benedikt Schinle (1859-1927)
Era un pittore a Merano ed era il proprietario di una scuola di pittura molto conosciuta anche al di fuori della regione di Merano. Prima d’iniziare questa scuola di pittura, raccontò mia zia, ha imparato diverse tecniche pittoriche nel corso dei suoi numerosi viaggi in tutta l’Europa. In quel periodo, le tecniche pittoriche utilizzate in Olanda e nelle Fiandre erano molto in voga e lui spesso dipingeva nel “stile fiammingo”. Questo stile è presente soprattutto fra i suoi dipinti che ancora si possono trovare a Merano.
Un certo giorno, i miei genitori hanno deciso di regalarmi uno dei suoi quadri dipinti a olio. Questo dipinto raffigurava delle bellissime rose sbocciate dipinte in filigrana, con tre boccioli di rosa e due garofani in un morbido colore bianco raccordati con delle foglie verdi sullo sfondo completamente nero, molto più delicate e poco visibili.
Ero così affascinata da questo dipinto allo stesso tempo delicato e bello che una sera del novembre 2018 decisi di finalmente andare a Merano per vedere di persona i suoi quadri esposti nella chiesa più antica della città, la “Chiesa Santo Spirito”.
Mi ricordo essere rimasta profondamente colpita e fin troppo commossa dopo presenziare una bellissima messa lì alla Chiesa Santo Spirito una domenica mattina. Era in italiano e c’era un coro giovanile che cantava. L’energia e l’atmosfera erano così speciali e toccanti, che sentivo in quel momento come se il mio prozio fosse molto contento della mia visita e potevo veramente sentire la sua passione per la pittura e la sua profonda fede! I suoi dipinti semplicemente irradiavano questo messaggio.
Ha vissuto cent’anni prima di me, ma mi sentivo come se fosse li in piedi accanto a me, una sensazione impossibile da descrivere con parole. Ho sentito che mi ha incoraggiato a continuare a dipingere, che avrei dovuto continuare a dipingere i miei fiori felici, luminosi e colorati. Ho sentito profondamente la sua gioia nei miei fiori con „Aloha Flow“.
Poco dopo questo viaggio ho trasferito esattamente queste rose e garofani dal suo dipinto con la tecnica del photo-potch su una nuova tela con uno sfondo rosa molto allegro e femminile, dipinto e disegnato a modo mio. L’ho chiamato „Benedictus sunt: Benedikt e Beate“, che in latino vuol dire “Beati sono: Benedikt e Beate”. Vedo questa creazione come un tributo a lui. Sono sicura che sarà contento! Forse anche il mio nuovo dipinto rosa gli farà sorridere? Aloha Mahalo nel cielo, la tua Leilani Euphrosyne.
